1899 - Welcome Dairy is established as a natural cheese manufacturing co-op.

1953 - The Eggebrecht family acquires Welcome Dairy, the Colby, WI plant, and 50+ years of cheese manufacturing expertise.

1966 - Welcome Dairy establishes our own brand.

1984 - Welcome enters the process cheese category, coins the name “functional cheese”, and invests in its first functional cheese production line.

1993 - Welcome exits the natural cheese business to focus on functional cheese.

1997 - Welcome adds second functional cheese production line.
Welcome builds cold storage facility in Unity, WI with store capacity of approximately 8-million pounds.

1998 - Welcome partners with Gamay Food Ingredients to produce and package liquid cheese pouch products.

1999 - Following extensive research and development, Welcome and Gamay begin liquid cheese pouch sales and win the packaged dinner business of a major grocery chain.

2005 - Welcome completes expansion project to double plant capacity in Colby, adding its 3rd and 4th lines.

2012 - Welcome undergoes second major expansion again doubling production and storage capacity.

2014 - Welcome and Gamay introduce Single Serve Dipping Cups and Food Service pouches for dairy-based dips/sauces and dipping cups for school lunch program serving as springboard for new cup business.

2015 - Welcome completes 10,000 sq. ft. office renovation and addition.

2016 - Welcome acquires Gamay after nearly two decades of partnering as independent companies.
